Asian Design

In my last post I watched a series of videos based around different creative disciplines based in Japan. While I feel this was a good entry point to design in Asia, it wasn’t as specific to the discipline I want to investigate, Graphic Design. These videos also only focused on the one country which is obviously not indicative of design trends in other Asian countries.

The experience while interesting didn’t really change my perception of design or how I perceived it to be in Japan. The only story that may have had an impact on my perception of design would’ve of been the one on the Tea Ceremony Master. I think the idea of the tea ceremony being an experience and something that revolves around your interaction, rather than something that happens whether you look at it or not.
